GUIDE 9 INFOGRAPH

Cushioning

The underfoot feel and amount of impact protection provided by the compressing materials between the foot and running surface.

Support

The level of pronation control built into the shoe. Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle through the gait cycle.

Offset

The difference in height between the heel thickness and forefoot thickness of the shoe.

Technology

8MM

Saucony 8mm Technology

Cushioning is distributed more evenly between the heel and forefoot in shoes with an 8mm offset. The result? Your body stays in a more balanced and comfortable position with every foot strike.

BREATHABLE

Saucony Breathable Technology

Breathing is good, whether you’re a human or a piece of running gear. The materials in this product are designed to move moisture away from the skin, to keep you running dry and comfortable.

FLEXFILM

Saucony Flexfilm Technology

A strong, lightweight material is melded to the upper, which allows for fewer layers in the shoe. The result is a seamless, flexible feel.

IBR+

Saucony iBR+ Technology

iBR+ is a supremely lightweight but durable outsole rubber that enhances your shoe’s other cushioning elements.

TRI-FLEX

Saucony TriFlex Technology

Increases force dispersion over a greater surface area while also delivering optimal flexibility and traction.

Disappointed I went to a local running shoe store to buy walking shoes. I have been disappointed with these shoes. I wore out my new balance shoes which I really loved. The saucony shoes felt good in the store but after walking on 4 different days I'm wishing I had ordered on-line instead.

My only running shoe! I used to run in Guide 7 and when the Guide 8 came out, I was very disappointed that the toe box seemed smaller. The Guide 9 corrected that AND the EverRun insole is a dream to run on!!! I will only run on the road in these shoes for training AND racing! The only complaint I have is the lack of color options for the women's wide. I wish the pink came in wide. I wouldn't give this silver color a second look if it wasn't for the fact that I love the shoe so much. I have about 200 miles on this pair and they are still holding up strong. In the past, the Guide 7s haven't held up much past 250 miles. I am hopeful that these will.

A worthy successor to the Guide 8 I first tried Saucony when I couldn't find a running shoe with a wide toebox and thought I'd give the Guide 8 a try. I fell in love with their stability on ground contact without added stiffness and I never got a blister, callous, or pain from running. About 300+ miles later, I had planned on trying the Guide 9. Santa beat me to it and got me the 9's for Christmas. I'm in love again! I have to say, after having the 8's, I didn't think I'd find a better fitting shoe. I am amazed at how easily I adapted to the new Guides. They offer what the 8 did and more. They're extremely comfortable and I never felt like I was wearing them in. From day one, they delivered great stability and support transition from heel to forefoot. I am very happy with the Guide 9 and promise to be good again, this year. Thanks, Santa!
