NOMAD TR INFOGRAPH

Cushioning

The underfoot feel and amount of impact protection provided by the compressing materials between the foot and running surface.

Support

The level of pronation control built into the shoe. Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle through the gait cycle.

Offset

The difference in height between the heel thickness and forefoot thickness of the shoe.

Technology

4MM

Saucony 4mm Technology

Shoes with a 4mm heel-to-toe offset deliver a more natural ride, letting your feet and body do more work while relying less on the shoes’ cushioning and stability features.

FLEXFILM

Saucony Flexfilm Technology

A strong, lightweight material is melded to the upper, which allows for fewer layers in the shoe. The result is a seamless, flexible feel.

POWERGRID

Saucony PowerGrid Technology

PowerGrid is a lightweight, ultra-premium cushioning foam that, ounce for ounce, delivers a smoother and more rebound-filled ride than the competition.

PWRTRAC

Saucony PWRTRAC Technology

Tacky, durable rubber providing exceptional traction and abrasion resistance.

PERFECT shoe for short, wide feet with high arch/instep! If you're like me and have searched for decades, spending thousands of dollars on shoes wide enough to actually fit properly and/or prevent pinching, this is THE shoe for you! In 2015-16, I bought 6 pairs of shoes, including 4 styles of Altra, none of which fit the width of my foot properly and eventually caused pain. I searched in 7 different cities to try and find a wide neutral shoe - when I finally came across the Nomad in a small store in Kelowna, BC. Look beyond the very basic appearance of this shoe, because it fits and feels incredible. I've run pavement, dirt road and trail with zero issues. The grip is excellent overall, it's light and flexible. Despite the roomy toe box, which is what I'm most grateful for, the heel fits nice and snug, making this the absolute best fitting shoe I have ever ran in. My only suggestion would be a touch more air flow as they don't release as much heat as I'd like and perhaps slight thicker toe coverage for better protection on trails. This shoe gets a definite 5 out of 5 from me and I will be purchasing at least 2 more pair this year (mostly in fear they will discontinue them lol).

Great for long distance backpacking I love the fit of this shoe. I bought a size 8.5, which is bigger than I would have expected, since I usually fit a 7.5. I've had no problems trail walking or running in these shoes, although I have done far more walking than running. I also typically carry 30lbs on my back. I also like that it has a place to attach gaiters on top. It would be even better if there was a strip of velcro on the back as well. The only thing I don't like about them is the colour choices. Before I even took them home, the store changed the laces for me. Colour choice is minor compared to the pluses.

Good shoe for trails I got these after running a trail race where the type of shoe didn't work for the surface I was on. These felt comfortable. Right out of the box, I did an 8 miler. When I was done, felt something weird. The lining of the inside of the shoe came off...a bit disappointing!

Great Shoe! This is one of my favorite shoes. I use it both on trail and road. No good on long trail runs on rocky terrain, since it doesn't have a rock plate. Since the lack of rock plate makes the shoe so flexible and awesome on road/gravel/smooth trail, I wouldn't want one. But I'd love to see a beefier trail version on this last!

Great traction and comfort on trails I bought this shoe after having run in Peregrines in the past. I loved my Peregrines but I am super happy with the Nomads. They are really grippy even on wet rocks and roots and don't seem to accumulate mud. They did pretty well on snow this winter too. I thought I would miss the rock plates but my feet are comfortable even after longer runs and they allow a nice feel of the trail. The fabric upper seems quite durable and my feet don't get wet quickly- the only trade off might be that they are a bit warmer in hot weather- haven't had any hot days to test that out. The shoe allows more room in the forefoot which makes my feet happy. I would definitely recommend these shoes.
