Technology

8MM

Saucony 8mm Technology

Cushioning is distributed more evenly between the heel and forefoot in shoes with an 8mm offset. The result? Your body stays in a more balanced and comfortable position with every foot strike.

BREATHABLE

Saucony Breathable Technology

Breathing is good, whether you’re a human or a piece of running gear. The materials in this product are designed to move moisture away from the skin, to keep you running dry and comfortable.

FLEXFILM

Saucony Flexfilm Technology

A strong, lightweight material is melded to the upper, which allows for fewer layers in the shoe. The result is a seamless, flexible feel.

IBR+

Saucony iBR+ Technology

iBR+ is a supremely lightweight but durable outsole rubber that enhances your shoe’s other cushioning elements.

TRI-FLEX

Saucony TriFlex Technology

Increases force dispersion over a greater surface area while also delivering optimal flexibility and traction.

Guide 9 Infograph

Cushioning

The underfoot feel and amount of impact protection provided by the compressing materials between the foot and running surface.

Support

The level of pronation control built into the shoe. Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle through the gait cycle.

Offset

The difference in height between the heel thickness and forefoot thickness of the shoe.

Love them! I'm a collegiate track and cross-county athlete and typically average 60-65 miles/week. My latest purchase puts me at four pairs of the Guide 9, each time taking me beyond 500 miles. They are comfortable for both quick track workouts and long runs, and can be worn seven days a week. It's been a long time since I've loved a shoe this much!

Comfortable shoe- I normally wear an 8.5 but I wear a 9.5 in this shoe. Very comfortable. I'm training for a marathon and offers stability. However does not last as long as some of the other brands I have tried such as Brooks.

Support without bulk I hate how many supportive/cushioned shoes feel like you have giant devices strapped to your feet- I can think of 2 brands off the top that are like this. Saucony never is and this shoe is no exception. I had bad ankle pain and was able to jog in these pain-free. Best of all, my heel doesn't slip and the cushion doesn't suck your feet down. It is very responsive and easy to move in. I was worried I would have to scale back working out and do physical therapy because of my pain, but now, I feel free. I love them! I got pink but would have loved a more simple black and white version. All the colors are pretty loud, but I'm not caring too much at this point.

Lightweight stability This is the first Saucony Guide shoe I've ever had. I like the lightweight stability and springy cushioning. The fit is a half size up from my regular shoes (heels) and are perfect. I like the toe-off performance of these while running. Being in between sizes, it's often difficult to go a half-size up without literally dragging my toes in too-big running shoes. These feel great, even running during a heat wave.

My favorite running shoe for years! I've been wearing the Guide for almost 6 years. I need support and stability and the Guide provides all of that. Through the years there have been slight changes in the shoes but they still continue to provide all I need in a great running shoe for long runs.
