Breathing is good, whether you’re a human or a piece of running gear. The materials in this product are designed to move moisture away from the skin, to keep you running dry and comfortable.

FLEXFILM

Back on Kinvaras!

I loved the original Kinvaras--light, flexible, responsive, speedy-fast!! But later iterations disappointed me. But I never found another road shoe I loved so well and that fit so nicely, so I decided to give Kinvara another try, and I'm glad I did. I land on my forefoot, so I love the 4mm heel drop. My toes splay when I land, so I need the roomy toe box. I have a flat arch but do not overpronate, so I appreciate the subtle, almost undetectable arch support. I like to feel faster than I am :) so I love the responsive ride (though not as snappy as the earliest versions, sigh). But I'm training for my first marathon, so I know I need the cushioning. I do wish the Kinvara was a little more flexible -- and yet more fast-feeling with a better toe-off...am I asking for contradictory things? Maybe. But I've yet to find a shoe that is both fairly good for speed work and yet protective enough for long runs. I see why it is a favorite among marathoners!
