Saucony Almost Did It Completely Right I loved my old pair of trail running shoes from Saucony and when I saw the Koa ST I knew I found a suitable replacement for my former shoes that needed to be retired oh-so-long ago. I was a little apprehensive when I opened the box because handsome as the shoe was, would it fit right? I was not disappointed in the least. Let me start with the cons, there aren't many. First, they do feel a little small as my big toe is almost too close to the toe of the shoe. It's not horrible, it's not uncomfortable but the shoe does seem to be a touch more snug than expected. Second, they don't breath like a pair with mesh would. With that said, this can work in my favour in the colder months so all in all, even the cons of this shoe are not all that bad. However, if I can find something with the same sole and tread with a mesh upper that breathes for the warmer months, I very well may consider purchasing a pair as well. The pros? Everything else. The shoes are beautiful, well-made, durable and strong. They don't weigh down my feet and running in them, pretty darn close to what I would imagine running on a cloud would feel like. They are outstandingly comfortable, fitting like a glove (to coin a phrase). They are amazing and I think I love them even more than my old pair of running shoes. Taking them to the trails, not once did I stumble, not a single pebble made it into my shoe. These things are quite possibly the closest thing to the most perfect trail running shoe I could have ever dreamed up. Seriously, do yourself a favour. If you like running trails and rough terrain, get these shoes. You will not be disappointed in the least. They're worth the money and then some.
