Technology

8MM

Saucony 8mm Technology

Cushioning is distributed more evenly between the heel and forefoot in shoes with an 8mm offset. The result? Your body stays in a more balanced and comfortable position with every foot strike.

FLEXFILM

Saucony Flexfilm Technology

A strong, lightweight material is melded to the upper, which allows for fewer layers in the shoe. The result is a seamless, flexible feel.

IBR+

Saucony iBR+ Technology

iBR+ is a supremely lightweight but durable outsole rubber that enhances your shoe’s other cushioning elements.

TRI-FLEX

Saucony TriFlex Technology

Increases force dispersion over a greater surface area while also delivering optimal flexibility and traction.

Bad experience I've been training and will be running my first Marathon in a couple of months. After weeks of research I decided that Saucony Ride 9 was the best choice for my marathon goal and feet type. I really had high hopes as this was my first Saucony purchase. First off, my feet are just a little wider than a regular so I opted for the wide. After two weeks and accumulating 25 miles on these shoes I was hoping that it would break in. I love that it's nice and cushiony on the forefoot. The problem starts with the heel collar not gripping very well. I even laced through the extra holes and I still feel that my heels are slipping. Over tightening the laces to prevent heel slippage then my feet would feel numbed after the 2nd mile. These shoes are also hurting my Achilles so that's a big negative for me. The tongue is un-sleeved so it doesn't stay in the middle and I feel uneven lacing pressure on my feet on long runs. Lastly, the uneven lacing also causes rubbing on the side just below the ball of my foot causing a blister. I really want to like these shoes and heard so many good things about Saucony but it's hard for me to continually wear this one.

Skip your Ride Ride 8 was much more comfortable, but short tongue and bad quality upper ruined it. Ride 9 is incredibly uncomfortable, won't break in and tongue length and stability still an issue. I wasted money on 2 of them and trusted that additional break-in or alternate lacing might help. Wrong.

Great shoes Great running shoes so far! I've put 150 miles and they are holding up really good! I love this type of shoes and this is the right balance between cushion, responsive, light running shoes. Great for Marathon training (that's what I'm doing) after you put 25 miles + it feels incredible. Only downside is that it fits narrow but it will loose end up a bit, in my right shoe the everun is moving forward? Enought that I can see the stitching inside and if you sweet a lot the shoes will have the squish sound like a sponge just like the Kinvara. But overall great running shoes!
