Technology

8MM

Saucony 8mm Technology

Cushioning is distributed more evenly between the heel and forefoot in shoes with an 8mm offset. The result? Your body stays in a more balanced and comfortable position with every foot strike.

FLEXFILM

Saucony Flexfilm Technology

A strong, lightweight material is melded to the upper, which allows for fewer layers in the shoe. The result is a seamless, flexible feel.

IBR+

Saucony iBR+ Technology

iBR+ is a supremely lightweight but durable outsole rubber that enhances your shoe’s other cushioning elements.

TRI-FLEX

Saucony TriFlex Technology

Increases force dispersion over a greater surface area while also delivering optimal flexibility and traction.

Returning to recreational running after 10 years I'm a heavy person (178lbs). When bought these in mid summer 2016 I knew that I was heavy for them. However... I started to run/walk 5K twice a week. I managed to continue running during winter and now I just finished 10 miles under an hour without pain in knees, calves or the like. Certainly the 8mm offset worked really well on me. I had my reservations about iBR+ rubber and, although it degraded fast at first, the shoe lasted (almost) a year (I should have replaced them in December). The cushioning under metatarses and the flexibility of Tri-Flex were just right for my progression. I'm a road runner so, the durability of the ripstop was never compromised other than because of my sharp sky-pointing toe. The shoes are too cold for winter (0F), but if you loose them a bit you can fit thick merino socks that work wonders. Overall, very satisfied with the duration and comfort of the shoe, I may replace the insoles and start using them at home now. Currently, I'm eager to get a new pair.

Great Running Shoe I have logged over 300 miles on these shoes and they still feel as comfortable as the day when I bought them. The ride is great and there was never any discomfort or apparent defects in the shoes. I would definitely recommend them for runners who average 25 to 30 miles a week.

Overall good shoe for everyday runs but not for intense milage I got this shoe as a trainer for high school cross country training. While it was a stable and comfortable shoe for long easy run days, it was not the best for our hard work outs. While running 400 repeats on a hill, I noticed a tear in the flexfilm( near toe area) that grew larger quickly, as well as it collected a lot of dirt and grit, making it rather uncomfortable. So as a con I would say its not very durable for more intense runners. But on the positive side, this shoe is very smooth, on a slow-medium, run and you can notice the bounce of the everfoam material. We ran up to a distance of 8 miles during practice but after season ended I ran a couple 5k's and 10k's and think it could still go longer while still being very comfortable and bouncy. I also didn't have any sizing issues.

To Narrow Love the feel of the shoe but much more narrow then the Ride 8's and after a 30 min run both small toes were rubbing on side of the shoe.
