For a waterproof shoe, I didn't expect the liner to fill with sand... Bought these shoes to train for and run a spartan race. They were great until the first water crossing (1/2 mile in). At that point they filled with sand. I figured it was under the insole, but to my disappoint it had found its way inside the waterproof lining. Shoes weighed an extra pound it seemed and the sand posisitioned itself In the most uncomfortable places. So, by the end of the race (9 miles later) my feet were killing me. Think I'll go back to my cheap adidas that never filled with sand. Unless saucony would like to send me a new pair because it's impossible to get the sand out without damaging the waterproof liner. I would recommend if you don't ever go into water...

My first 4mm offset shoes Pros - fairly stiff - good forefoot cushion - waterproof works great - very stable (wider than normal footprint) - killer traction in mud and sand - treads are stiff/hard and should last a long time - light weight materials - seem to be constructed well (have only run 30 miles or so). Cons - seem to have a wider than normal footprint (fit is true to size) so when tired I find myself hitting my calf with the protruding lugs. The stiff/hard lugs do not grip well on rock or wood especially when wet. That is the reason I did not give 5 stars.

product has great summer trail running features! Great fitting shoe. Could use a bit more cushioning Need winter soft material as lugs get cold and become frozen like ice therefore even on snowy trails you really have to watch for ice. They are a slippery shoe on ice. Definitely water proof Great for doing Ultras I have never blistered with these and no hot spots. Very highly recommend them for a spring summer Fall Trail Shoe!
