For a waterproof shoe, I didn't expect the liner to fill with sand...

Bought these shoes to train for and run a spartan race. They were great until the first water crossing (1/2 mile in). At that point they filled with sand. I figured it was under the insole, but to my disappoint it had found its way inside the waterproof lining. Shoes weighed an extra pound it seemed and the sand posisitioned itself In the most uncomfortable places. So, by the end of the race (9 miles later) my feet were killing me. Think I'll go back to my cheap adidas that never filled with sand. Unless saucony would like to send me a new pair because it's impossible to get the sand out without damaging the waterproof liner. I would recommend if you don't ever go into water...
