Bring back the xodus gtx Ordered these to replace my xodus 6.0 gtx. Wore them yesterday for a short trail run (4 miles). The cushioning is much improved over previous xodus models. I was a little concerned that this model was not made of gortex since I live in Michigan and winters here can be cold and wet. When I ran with them is was sunny about 25 with a wind chill of 13 degrees. My feet stayed warm and I didn't feel any wind coming through them like you do with regular mesh top shoes. They are listed as water resistant but not water proof, like the gtx's so not sure how they'll do in wet weather. The sizing also seems to be a little on the small side. I wear a 7.5 which is what I ordered. I'll still be able to use them but I think an 8 would have been better. The other thing it lacks is stability in the heel area. The previous models have a "flare" on the bottom of the heel area providing a lot of side to side stability. This model does not have that and I could feel a bit of a role to the outside of my foot when running on the dirt and stones on the path. There still a pretty good overall trail shoe but wish Saucony would have left some of the features from the gtx that I mentioned above.
