Although Iâve been running distance since 1977, these are the first âracingâ shoes Iâve ever owned. And in 1980, I was labeled a âterrible pronatorâ by my podiatrist. (Although in 1981, I went back to my âpre-Nikeâ way of running, which I grew up with in the El Paso-Southern New Mexico-Chihuahua area, that is a kind of hybrid way of running.) Iâve been racing since 1977, and Iâve raced over 130 races best I can tell, including at least 30 races over 10k in length, and 6 marathons. I used to finish in the top 4th or top 3rd, usually. Now, Iâm much slower but consistent and Iâm getting ready for a ½ marathon in November, currently at about 35 miles per week. I also still work out with weights, mainly to keep what little I still have. I yam 5â10 ½â, and weight about 185 lbs.
So: at this stage, the Wizes at Saucony recommended I try Fastwitch 6. Today was an easy day, and me laigs were a wee bit tired, but I went out early to do 5 miles. The shoes for the most part were a relief. They were a lot fun, actually, and my body liked them fine. I ran faster than I had intended, and there was no negative feeling as per pronation at all. I really like these shoes, and I think I can solve my ptosis problem...see below. (My favorite shoes that I usually wear for level training runs on asphalt are Mirage II, which are just right for my way of running.)
The only problem was a perceived tight fit in the ptosis box. Iâm not churro why, because I havenât had this problem in my Mirages, nor in a new pair of Omni 11s. So, it may be a particular fit problem, or it may be that I just need to gnaw on my ptosis, get the nails shortened.
(For those who donât know anatomy as well as I do, your âptosisâ are them things at the ends of your pfootsis.)

I have 2 pairs of these sneakers for alternating running with. I have the orange(love them!) and the white(awesome!). I wear them for running and sometime with a pair of jeans. Best running sneaks I have ever owned. Lightweight and yet sturdy.

I use these for tennis and they are awesome! They are so light and they are very stable. The flatter sole pattern makes them solid in all directions. This shoe is perfect for any cross-training activity
