Rated 5 out of 5Â by Everyday_saucony247 This is a shoe of comfort even when your not training!!
This shoe is very lightweight and very comfortable.. I bought the green cortana 3 because I knew my friends would ask what kind of shoe and where I got them from.. Instead of telling themi let them guess and when they give up, I ask them do they think it would be lighter than a "air max" or "shock" and cost less?? Well, let's just say 3 of my friends have bookmarked the saucony web store, because they want happier feet and more graceful unpainful steps like me.. Thanks saucony!!

I have never been a fan of paying high priced shoes, but decided I needed a purchase that would get me back into running and focused. Saucony nailed it with the Cortana 3, a lighter more comfortable shoe than the competitor Pegasus. These will be my mileage shoes going forward and I will stick with Kinvaras for speed and racing.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by TaylorTTU Awesome shoe, with different soles...
Having worn out my Kinvara 4âs I was looking for a shoe that would be more durable and hopefully help my body on longer runs. This shoe is built âon the Kinvara platformâ and just has better cushioning, so it would seem to be perfect. I received the shoes walked around, and everything felt good so I went out for a short 5mi run. Around the third mile I started to get blisters(I have never gotten blisters from running) around the toe box, everything just felt way to tight. This is basically a deal breaker for me, but I wanted to give it a few more tries. Waited a week, tried a run again, same result⦠the toe box was causing hotspots on the edges of the shoes. There is some sort of extra durable edging on the flexi film that was rubbing on the sides of my feet.
Honestly I absolutely love the aesthetics of these shoes. To me they look fantastic, Iâm a designer for a living so when I find something that speaks to me itâs hard to give it up. Pain or not. That being said, I wanted to try one last thing. I traded out the stock soles of the Kinvaras with the soles in the Cortanas. I went on a 8mi run and had zero problems. They feel excellent. Afterwards I did some investigating and this is what I figured out. The Kinvara soles have air holes in them for breathability, as well as grooves in the midfoot that HELPS A TON with transitioning from foot strike to toe off. After changing the soles I LOVE these shoes. Seriously Sacuony what gives with the blocky soles in the Cortanas?
Everyoneâs foot is different, and I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to get some more protection while still keeping the low offset of the Kinvaras⦠just keep your soles in case you need them.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WillyJ34 Very durable shoe for natural/forefoot strikers
I have been running in Cortanas for quite some time and with each new model the shoe only gets better. The Cortana 3 doesn't have as a wide range of colors and designs has the first model, but it does allow for a more durable approach. The shoe as great soft lining around the ankle which helps prevent blister rubbing. The middle of the tongue does need a little more work to adjust for fitting. It is to tight if you run true to your size, but going a half size large may give you a lot of movement on runs. The shoe is light, but still to heavy for faster tempos or longer repeats however, it can still be used for these workouts. It is also light enough to wear comfortably for runs up to 20+ miles. I have had 3 pairs and I reached 500+ on each shoe. The Cortana 3 is a phenomenal shoe and in my opinion it is any forefoot strikers best buy. The price is a tad high, but if your a dedicated runner, it is well worth the money.
