Men's Peregrine 4

Reg.$110.00
Stock#:20230-2

RUN - Neutral

The Peregrine 4 has become a favorite of trail runners for its versatility and low-profile feel, and the 4th edition is sure to win more converts. The outsole features a super-aggressive multi-directional lug design for superior traction on a wide range of terrain. The rock plate is upgraded to nylon fiber mesh for reduced weight and added flexibility, and the PowerGrid replaces ProGrid in the heel for optimal cushioning. FlexFilm continues to lock in the foot without adding weight to the upper, and on top of all of this, the Peregrine 4 is the lightest version yet! Weight: 9.4oz. / 266 g (size 9)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great light trail shoe This is my second Peregrine trail shoe with the previous being the 2nd edition. This latest edition has been redesigned with more durable design elements (overlays) and hopefully with better material for the upper. The Peregrine has been my favourite shoe for running on gravel trails and for racing. The shoe is light yet offers good protection to your foot. I found the 4th edition to run about 1/2 size too large and somewhat wider than the previous one I had. This causes my foot not being as tightly strapped in the shoe, a feeling which I quite like. On the other hand, your foot will have room to spread and with greater distances to swell a bit without causing discomfort. I just have to make sure that I tighten the shoelaces firm and perhaps re-tighten after a warm up. A small, but for me a pleasant change are the provided shoelaces, that are thinner and allow of double knotting without protruding out, like the 2nd version. Having completed my first race in them, in snowy conditions with loose gravel underneath, I'm happy to say they performed very well. The more aggressive outsole was grippy, allowing me to push harder with minimal wasted energy. So far so good! February 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Its Kinvara 4 for Trails Full disclosure, I am a road runner averaging 20-25 miles a week. I am sold out to the Kinvara line of road shoes. Am now about to wear out my Kinvara 4's. Decided to run a 6 mile trail race for a change up to my training. Ordered the Kinvara TR2 thinking it would be like my Kinvara 4 runners. They were too narrow and firm for me. Decided to exchange for the new Peregrine 4's. As soon as they came out of the box and on my feet, they began to do a happy dance. Kinvara Road Runners, if you are looking for a trail shoe to slip into to take on the trails, this is IT. They are the perfect width for a medium. I like a neutral runner with a minimal feel. This shoe is perfect. I wear a size 9 in most shoes but wear a 9 1/2 in Saucony. I ordered the same size Peregine as my Kinvaras (9 1/2) and they are the perfect fit. January 10, 2014
