Men's Shadow 6000
25 years experience with this shoe
The Shadow 6000 has been my running shoe since 1985, well over 25 years! I have run triathlons all over the country, marathons, 10k's, but mostly I use them for daily runs between 5 to 8 miles. I have never had a running injury while wearing them. They are embarassingly bright white when you first take them out of the box, but fear not. After a few weeks they pick up road dust to acquire an off-white grayish color that looks great. Stable platform, good shock absorption, attractive and lightweight: what more could you ask? Once you use them up, get a new pair and use the old pair for yard work. You'll feel great wearing them. Thank you, Saucony, for having the courage to keep this classic model just as it was after getting it right so many years ago. I hope you continue to make them forever!

I've been running in this shoe since 1993, I was almost heart broken when I was told they discontinued this style. I was lost, the shoe has a natural feel to it. Please don't get rid of it!

My go-to shoe for over twenty years
The wide toe-box and semi-curved last make this my favorite running shoe. Ditto the fact that its cushioning is compressed EVA only which has always been the best and lightest shock absorber around.
However, Saucony has degraded the sole material lately. My latest pair wore through at the ball of my foot after only modest usage. I have older pairs from many years earlier whose soles are intact after hundreds of more miles of use. I suspect that using any color in the sole other than black makes it much less resilient.
Additionally, although Saucony sells out every production run of this popular shoe, they continually underproduce it, probably fearing that its availability will detract from their higher-margin, "better" shoes. Consequently, for half the year it is unavailable. Even the Saucony store is reduced to sizes 7 &14 only.
If you like the shoe, you should buy a bunch of them in April when they annually hit the stores. If you snooze, you lose.

Best shoe ever made
I have worn this shoe for marathon training and marathon runs for more years than I can now remember. I am 81 years old and I can not run any more, but I still love to wear this shoe every day. Don't stop making the Sacony Shadow 6000 shoe.
