The Peregrine is Saucony’s iconic, award-winning, legacy trail shoe. Named after the fastest bird on the earth, the Peregrine is now in its 10th iteration, better than ever, and now with an expanded offering. The all new Peregrine 10 Collection is comprised of the Peregrine 10, the Peregrine 10 ST and the Peregrine 10 GTX. I’ll get to all the details soon, I promise. The intent of this awesome new collection is to provide a Peregrine for every condition. We want to give more trail runners the confidence to push their boundaries. While all three Peregrine models are built on the same chassis, each is designed for a different condition or terrain experience, so based on the types of trails you run on the most frequently, you can choose which model works best for you.
Now, let’s look at the main features and benefits of each model.
The Peregrine 10 is our go-to key franchise trail shoe. Built to be fast and aggressive over a variety of terrains, the all new Peregrine 10 features:
- Full length PWRTRAC outsole for excellent traction on the trails
- Aggressive 5mm lug height and improved lug configuration for more versatility across rugged terrains
- Mapped for guidance for Ice spike and drainage holes
Midsole:
- New PWRRUN cushioning; responsive yet protective to push uphill and bomb downhill
- Rock plate, for added underfoot protection
Upper:
- Durable and Breathable mesh with protection in key areas.
- D-ring for gaiter compatibility
- Lace keeper to keep laces secure
New to the Peregrine family is the Peregrine 10 ST (Soft Terrain). It has the same fit and feel as the Peregrine 10 but is built to be more aggressive and protective in soft, muddy, sloppy terrain. The all new Peregrine 10 ST features:
- Full length PWRTRAC outsole for excellent traction on the trails
- Aggressive 6.5mm lug height, deeper and more widely spaced to easily shed mud and dig into soft terrain conditions.
Midsole:

Upper:
- High abrasion, water-resistant upper helps shed mud and protect in sloppy conditions

To round out the collection, we bring you the Peregrine 10 GTX (Gore-Tex). This shoe includes all the same great features as the Peregrine 10, but with a waterproof upper to keep your feet protected in the wettest conditions. The all-new Peregrine 10 GTX features:

So which Peregrine is right for you? Consider lug height and terrain you most frequently run on when making your decision. With 5mm PWRTRAC lugs, the Peregrine 10 is fast, versatile and can handle a variety of technical, rugged terrains. The Peregrine 10 GTX can handle the same types of terrain, but with a waterproof Gore-Tex protection for wet-weather running. If off-trail or soft-terrain trails are more your speed, than the Peregrine ST is your shoe, with aggressive and deep 6.5mm lugs and built with a protective, water resistant upper.
