Highly Flexible Shoe I purchased the Triumph Iso 4 after trying several cushioned shoes at my local running specialty store. My initial reaction was that the cushioning was firm, but responsive and that upper of the shoe hugged my foot nicely. However, after running in the shoe several times, I am experiencing IT band pain in my knee. The shoe is very flexible, bending easily in all directions (much more flexible than the Triumph Iso 3). As a result, the shoe is somewhat unstable, especially on uneven terrain. As a neutral forefoot striking runner, I have not had any IT band issues prior to running in this shoe. Unfortunately, now I'll have to take time off of running to heal and having to find a different shoe. Kind of a bummer, considering the price of the shoe.

Super Comfortable Best ISO upper in a triumph so far mixed with the full length Everun sole makes the shoe extra comfortable and super responsive. With a doubt my favorite upgrade of any shoe this season thus far.

Not impressed Let me start out by saying that Saucony shoes have always been my favorite running shoes, and the Triumph has been my go to shoe for several years. I was excited about the Triumph ISO 4 with the full length EVERUN midsole. However, that excitement turned to disappointment after running in them. First of all, they are not nearly as plush underfoot as I thought they would be, or as previous versions, especially the first ISO version (which was the best one IMO). Next, the fit is too long and too narrow. I love Saucony shoes, but this one is a fail for me. Hopefully the Triumph 5 will go back to what made the Triumph such an excellent choice for those who want a plush ride. This current version seems more concentrated on performance than comfort.

Not for me, but maybe for you? I was really excited to find out that the Triumph ISO 4 was getting the full Everun treatment. I was ready to get it and get some miles in it. Once I did I just felt the shoe was fairly underwhelming. The Triumph is suppose to be one of Saucony's Premium cuhsion running shoes. It was lacking for me in that comfort department. The shoe was responsive and good for running, but I already have the Freedom ISO...I want something that feels slightly more plush. The Saucony Ride feels just as comfortable as the Triumph for $40 less...compared other companies "high cushion $150-$160 shoes" , triumph was just lacking for me. The fit seem narrow also. I wear normal widths in every other brand, including my other saucony shoes.

The Best Triumph ISO so far Let me start with the design first. The shoe has a nice look to it, but around the ankle it is a little on the bulky side. The shoe fits great and my first run in them was fabulous. The ISO 4 has a slight heavy feel to it but my heels never dragged while running in them. The Everun midsole was very energetic and responsive for the 6 mile run. Best part, no blisters! Saucony finally put some room in the forefoot of the shoe. My toes didn't feel like they were being squeezed during the run. I am looking forward to running a half marathon in these.
