Bought 3 Pairs - by , Feb 07, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
My husband normally wears a 12 in dress shoes but 11.5 in running shoes. He is a physical education teacher, avid runner and wears these shoes all day. He has ordered 3 pairs because he found a pair that he loves so when one pair eventually wears out he does not need to shop for a different one.

Long term Saucony Hurricane User - by , Dec 31, 2018

This is a really good shoe. It fits true to form, and is very cushioned. I have bought saucony hurricanes for many years now and loved all the changes they have done over the years. Although not an avid runner, these are great shoes for me for stability and cushioning, as I am always on my feet and walk quite a bit. They also hold up very well cushion wise when I play rec volleyball. The move to full Everrun is noticeable for the extra cushioning. One caveat I have noticed with this shoe, is in rain. The bottom tread seems to push water up onto the front toe box for some reason when it is raining. My toes get wet and I have to dry out the shoe and socks. This has not happened with other models of this shoe.

My Go-to Running Shoe - by , Dec 25, 2018

This is a great shoe for my Half-Marathon training and races. It fits really well and is comfortable for running. As I transitioned my old pair from being my running shoe to my everyday shoe, it is not as comfortable as I’d like, but it may need to just be worn in for day-to-day use. I tried a lower heel drop shoe, but I went back to this one because it works so well for my feet.

This pair is my third pair of these shoes. They have it all, fit, support and style. The shoe has the looks that allow me to wear them to the gym and church.

I love my Hurricane’s! Great fit, comfortable ride and just the right amount of stability. Have two pairs which I alternate to keep them fresh. Can’t see myself running in anything else!

Hurricanes are great support - by , Nov 21, 2018

The Saucony running shoes are the only shoes that fit without purchasing wide sizes. Most companies wide sizes are too wide and their normal sizes are too narrow, I love Saucony. I wish I knew about these when I was on active duty. Maybe I wouldn't have the knee issues from running with poor fitting shoes.

Good shoe, but short life - by , Nov 04, 2018

I have been wearing Saucony shoes for my entire running career. This includes Triumphs, Rides, Omnis and Hurricanes. The carbon rubber soles wear out very quickly (<200 miles), especially if you are a heel striker. I bought 4 pair and rotated them, but the soles still wore down to the foam. I sent one pair to Saucony and they said the show were defective and sent me another pair. Still, they have been comfortable shoes and worked well. I recently bought another pair, but for some reason, they caused my ankles, calves and knees to hurt almost immediately. I am not sure what difference there could have been between this shoe and the others. I sent them back to Roadrunner Sports and am trying a different brand. The main reason is that this is an expensive shoe and I expect a lot more use from them. The soles need to be upgraded to something more durable. I would still recommend this shoe, but I need to try some other brands for comparison. The customer service I received from Saucony was very good.

Great ride but poor construction - by , Sep 27, 2018

I have run in many saucony shoes through the years. I did enjoy the first version of hurricanes although the fit was weird, the 4s have the same problem. While the ride is great balance between a support and neautral shoe the fit is so wide that your feet will roll the ankle if you step on an uneven surface. Also for a 165$ shoe you would think the tongue would be seemless I can feel it always moving along the top of my foot. There is no way to secure this shoe snuggly across the foot because of the oversized tongue and lacing system . All in all very comfortable and enjoyable ride but expected a lot more for a shoe of this price .
