Great Shoe - by , Sep 15, 2020

Shoe fit perfect and is very stylish for a hiking/trail shoe. I wanted a shoe that could pull off double duty running errands and hiking and this guy fits the bill.

Back to the Future - by , Sep 13, 2020

Thanks for going back to what I love about the Peregrine - a shoe that fits like a glove (at least on my feet), has the perfect lug system for trails in northern New Mexico, and a relatively minimal sole with a highly effective rock plate. The P-9's I had were too cushy, the lugs were too deep and improper assembly led to an MCL irritation. And the uppers broke through at the flex point. The P-10's are a modern version of the P-2 era shoes with an insole that doesn't need to be swapped out. Thanks again!

Great except for outsoule wear - by , Aug 31, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
The shoes feels great on foot and has good balance between stability flexibility and under foot protection. The mid and upper is an upgrade over previous models. My only problem is that the outsoles have worn too quickly. Most of the small lugs at the front have worn down or sheared off. Also my outsole split below the heal and now it fills up with small rocks. Having a small strip of exposed midsole below the heal instead of continuous outsole is a design flaw. I’m an avid hiker that uses my Peregrines on all types of trails and rely on them for comfort and traction. Outsole problems started at 100 miles. Now i’m at 150 miles and I need to replace my shoes.

So far, sehr gut... - by , Aug 19, 2020

I live in Golden, CO and do about 8k vert a week running and speed hiking. Always loved Salomon S-Lab but they are thin-soled and fall apart quick. Saw a post on Backcountry about a guy who switched to Saucony Peregrine and I went for it. Super light, superb fit, nice cushion, excellent tread, and the best extra is the small strap/band for quick lace tucking. Have had them about two weeks and they are just great. No discomfort, no “breaking-in” phase, they just dance uphill. Even on steep class 2 stuff, no issues clinging to rock. Cannot think of one complaint or criticism. Great color choices, even. Hope they last!

This is a shoe that I’m exited to wear! - by , Aug 09, 2020

First thing I noticed was how well it was made from the materials to assembly.. and I’m into the details. Looking forward to find out the longevity of it on the trails!

Still the best for trail running - by , Aug 04, 2020

I love these shoes, their the second pair of 10's I've bought and like the 8's, these are great. My runs take me through web swampy areas, sandy strips of trail and along clay areas that can become very slippery if wet, which they usually are here in Tallahassee. The shoes perform extremely well in these conditions. The only issue I have is the new shoe laces used for the 10's,. they don't hold with a single knot and require double knotting to stay tied during my 3 - 6 mile jaunts. That's the only issue I have and one that I wish Saucony would address - bring back the 8's laces.

Still fine shoe, but the laces are awful - by , Jul 29, 2020

I've been running in Peregrines for years. Though I like the 8 and 10 better than the ISO, all of them have been excellent. However, I would note that the shoe laces have been changed. Instead of being able to single knot them, it's now necesary in the 10 to double knot, which makes them a pain to remove when tired after a long run. Other than the laces, I'm glad the 10 is more similar to the 8 than the ISO, it's got more give and generally feels more comfortable to me. Bring back the good laces and it will again be the best shoe available.

Best Trail Runner EVER!!! - by , Jul 22, 2020

Really, really like these shoes! Just bought my second pair after many hard miles. Love this version with the rock plate and better cushioning. The trail feel and comfort are the best of all the shoes I've tried. Running in these is like being barefoot without the pain and even better traction. Wet, dry, sandy, muddy, rocks, roots - it doesn't matter. Great grip and secure footing makes every trail a playground to be experienced not endured. Snow is still, surprise, slippery despite the cleats. Wet muddy roots are something to watch out for but the aggressive lugs will save you almost all of the time. My feet do get sore if the trail is really rough (around mile 28 for me) so these might not be the best for ultra ultra running. Re-adjusting the lacing mid-run makes a difference and can give more life to tired feet. That being said, I've never had to shorten a run wearing these shoes because my feet hurt and my feet are always ready the next running day for more. Would like to see some bold colors but black goes with everything so it's nice to have the all black option. Discovered the Peregrine with version 5 and bought many v6s and v7s then v8 came and I thought it was the end because it wasn't the same shoe at all. Tried again with this version and am so happy that Saucony has returned to what makes these shoes sooooo good.

I am an ultra runner and recently used them on my vacation to hike peaks in Colorado in which i loved them even more. I put them thru a lot of abuse and not once did i feel any stabbing from rocks while hiking up and running down. Padding feels great and i have good room in the toes. Overall my favorite pair of shoes
