I have worn the Saucony Guides for about 6 years but recently decided (with my PTs advice) to switch to a neutral shoe. Transition went great and I love this shoe!

I have tried snickers of every single manufacturer of athletic shoes. None of them was as comfortable as Saucony. For sure I will be buying my snickers from Saucony only!

I am a frequent runner (about 10 miles a week) and I love these shoes. They are more light-weight than brands such as asics but they offer the same level of support in my opinion. I am getting my second pair now because my traction is worn down and I have slight fabric tears but I got 9-10 months of use out of them. I would recommend that you order a size larger than your normal shoe size!

Ride or Echelon work for me every time. Mail carrier for 13 years, now busy and active clerk. I use Powerstep inserts after I take the original out. Support with style!

My feet hurt!! - by , Jun 09, 2015

I went into my local running store a few weeks ago to find some new running shoes. I normally wear nike frees but wanted something to keep me comfortable on longer runs (I run 20-25 miles a week) but they hurt my feet , especially my toes, after a quarter mile!

I'm a huge Saucony fan and the Ride 6 was the best shoe I've ever run in. Had big hopes for the Ride 7, especially after seeing so many amazing reviews, but I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. The good points: the Ride 7 is super super light, looks great, and the toe box is a little bit wider than the Ride 6. The manufacturing quality is as superb as always with Saucony. The bad points: doesn't feel nearly as breathable or flexible as the 6 and the extra cushioning means I can no longer feel the ground. I'm surprised at the lack of flexibility considering the mid-foot shank is no longer there. It feels like my feet are slapping against the ground when I run and my ankles feel stiff. Compared to other shoes I'm sure this is breathable, but the holes are much tinier than on the 6 and the tongue feels much thicker so my feet feel warmer as I soon as I put them on. Combined with reduced space above the toes, I don't feel the same lovely air flow as for the 6. I really really wanted these to be as good or better than the previous ones but I just can't get on with them, and I've taken them out for numerous 5 and 10ks now. I think it's the extra cushioning and reduced breathability which really kill it for me. I would still recommend them as a running shoe - they're light and comfy and I'm sure for many the modifications work well. For the current season though, I'll have to stick with my rather battered but much loved Ride 6's.

A Runner's Shoe - by , May 24, 2015

While running a half marathon in another name brand sneaker that begins with "N" and ends in "E" I developed severe knee pain at mile 3. Somehow I finished the half and my mom drove me directly to Marathon Sports to buy "a real running shoe" as she said. I was in pain and I tried on many different sneakers, all of which hurt my feet until I tried on the Saucony Ride 7's. They were so comfortable my feet and knees didn't hurt anymore! I have run 2 more half marathons and many 5k's and 10k's since then with NO pain in my feet or knees! I love these sneakers so much I just ordered a second pair! Thank you Saucony for making such a comfortable running sneaker for long distance runners!
