Looks and feels great, but runs a bit small - by , Apr 27, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I ordered these shoes and was excited when they arrived in the mail. I ordered size 11.5 because my feet are either 11.5 or 12 in terms of shoe size. My past two pairs of shoes have also been Saucony (other models) size 11.5. These where just a bit too small. I should have ordered the 12 and just returned the ones I originally bought. However, the comfort felt great. They looked great, and there were no other issues from what I could tell.

I put on the Triumph 17 and immediately knew these were going to be my feet's best friend for walking and running. The cushioning was stupendous! I could snug them up and it was as if they automatically fit my foot. I have already worn them for a couple of hours of walking and running and my feet did not over heat--great ventilation! These will be my new goto waking/running shoe!

Runs great. Limited colors. Black, Blue and Black and Grey and Black. - by , Apr 22, 2020

This shoe runs great, but why only three color options? I have been running in Saucony for years. We usually get many more options for colors. Black, Blue and Black and Grey and Black. I think i see a pattern.

Fantastic Shoe - by , Apr 22, 2020

I noticed a significant improvement in my comfort while running. Lots of cushion in every step. Rolls from heal to toe very smooth, powerful launch with every push.

I have been really impressed with the shoe. Previously I was using the guide and it was so comfortable that I didn’t want to switch. But honestly I loved the style of this shoe and it is really plush. Comfortable for running comfortable for every day use. Highly recommend

Worth the money! - by , Apr 07, 2020

This shoe is the real deal. Built to provide comfort and support for high mileage runners. As a bonus, the shoe is also aesthetically pleasing. I am being hyper critical and depriving this shoe of a perfect score by one mark in the comfort category due to a slight emptiness in the section of the toe box near my big toes. For some reason it seems as if there is just the slightest lack of support in that area. Could be my foot? Could be the way I’m tying the shoe? Nonetheless, I’ve noticed it. This small detail will absolutely not keep me from purchasing the shoe again. It’s the best distance shoe I’ve ever owned by a long shot and I intend to run the 2021 Boston in them.

Far exceeds expectations - by , Apr 01, 2020

I was hoping for a comfortable long run and recovery day shoe. I’m a runner who typically has 8-12 active shoes in my rotation based on distance, surface, and goal for each type of run. This iteration of the Triumph has quickly shot up in mileage to my shoe with the most miles on it, even passing other plush cushioned models with several more months of use. I try to intentionally rotate each run, but the comfort of this shoe makes me keep grabbing it every time, and the foam shows no signs of breaking down yet. I love the bouncy feel that lets me turn up the pace to a tempo run, but at the same time is so soft that long slow runs finish without that sore forefoot and beat up feeling I so often get. It’s soft without being mushy. The upper is amazingly comfortable straight out of the box. Even the laces are soft and plush, and I never need to re-tie them during a run. If you are looking for a long run shoe, or are the type of runner who just wants one shoe until you retire it, get the Triumph 17. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Totally different shoe - by , Mar 30, 2020

Avid runner training for a marathon in the Triumph ISO 5 and thought this would be acceptable new shoe. This is a revolution of the shoe vs an evolution. It didn’t work for me. Significantly more plush with the new power run foam. (super comfortable no doubt) but a lacks structure and support provided by the everrun foam. Not a shoe you can step into if you’re accustomed to the ISO 5. Will probably lose 1-3 weeks in training recovering from strains. Going back to the ISO 5.

Good shoe. Runs a little big. - by , Mar 26, 2020
4/ 5 Stars
Went to the local running store and tried the Kinvara 11. Loved the Kinny, just not the color they had. Went to the Saucouny site to see what was up. Discovered the Triumph 17 and pulled the trigger on it going for the slightly cushier option over the Kinny. Verdict: Lot more upper than I expected and felt a little clunky to me. The Triumph is obviously heavier than the Kinny on paper. On the run, I felt the weight. I returned the Triumphs back to the retailer I bought them from. Plus I had A LOT of room in the toe box in 10.5 size. Had to lace them down extra tight to prevent slight heel slippage. So, it seems the Triumphs run a little big. Now I am looking at the Freedom 3's as middle alternative between the Kinny and Triumph.
