Totally different shoe - by , Mar 30, 2020
2/ 5 Stars
Avid runner training for a marathon in the Triumph ISO 5 and thought this would be acceptable new shoe. This is a revolution of the shoe vs an evolution. It didn’t work for me. Significantly more plush with the new power run foam. (super comfortable no doubt) but a lacks structure and support provided by the everrun foam. Not a shoe you can step into if you’re accustomed to the ISO 5. Will probably lose 1-3 weeks in training recovering from strains. Going back to the ISO 5.

The shoe and I don't agree - by , Oct 01, 2020
2/ 5 Stars
I am the biggest Saucony supporter, never found a shoe I didn't like. I'm doing a lot of long treadmill and road runs so I figured I'd add a little more cushion to help my feet, so I tried the Triumph. In all honesty, from the moment I put the shoe on, it didn't feel like a Saucony shoe. Even the lacing didn't agree with my feet. Sometimes shoes need time to grow on you though. I broke the shoe in and then took it on a 30 mile run. Again, the shoe never agreed with my feet. My feet experienced a lot of pain and I had to change my shoe out. The sole kills my feet. It doesn't feel like a cushion, it feels unforgiving to me. My Fastwitch feels better on my feet than these. I'm not saying its a bad shoe, it just doesn't agree with me. I just have to pull my Rides out of retirement until I can get a new pair.

Great comfort but flat ride - by , Feb 02, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
Have run 40 miles with the shoe. Maybe I havn’t broken it in yet but I was hoping for a more softer and bouncier run after reading all reviews. The shoe is extreamly comfortable and is very kind to your feet but it’s quite bulky and will be very warm a summer day. I think it could be a good option for those prioritizing a comfortable run or those just seeking a good walking shoe

comfortable, confining, cumbersome - by , May 20, 2020

these hurt my feet first day i wore them. they are comfy and they fixed my knee pain i had from my other shoes immediately the first day i wore them. i am always retying them and loosening them and retying them and tightening them to try and fix how they feel. the second day i ran in them i had consistent pain in my feet, third day i couldnt even do a mile because of the pain. i'm doing foot rolls and stretches to try and ease the pain maybe it caused a flair up or something in my foot. i am a size 12 normal width and normal arch (ive measured and confirmed multiple times after these problems) and these shoes make me feel like i should have gone up a half size or a full size and maybe even got the wide versions. they look great though and i like how comfy they are. i also wish they didnt want me to run heel to toe because i prefer toe or ball of my foot running, but the mechanics of the shoe seem to want me to run heel to toe.

Too soft for me - by , Jun 04, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
I have a "delicate" lower back that can bother me when I over train and have been looking for a more cushioned "longer"-distance trainer and/or racing shoe (1/2 to full marathon). The Triumph 17 had all the qualities except it was too "cushy" and too heavy for me. It was laborious to run in the shoes. A bit more firmness and perhaps less drop would help. I run about 40 miles per week and compete in 5-10K's and long-distance runs year-round. I also run almost exclusively on Saucony.

Fit is too wide and that causes a shift with each stride.

Comfy but not durable - by , Jun 24, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
These shoes are very comfortable, they don't hurt my knees, they feel good, and give plenty of support. The only issue is there is no support for your ankle. Easy to roll over, and the actual shoe is not durable, wore them two times and there is small tearing near the front of the shoe. Also the fact that the entire shoe is black except for the bottom allows for that gray area to get scuffed easier than the rest of the shoe. Overall i would give it a 3.5 out of 5.

I expected better - by , Jul 09, 2020

I had some echelon 7’s which were good for my feet. When I heard about the Triumph 17 and how cushioning they were, I was ready to take the plunge. Getting them was was great. I noticed a small ridge line that runs from heel to toe along the outside edge of the shoe. I thought, “OK, that should keep my foot and ankle stable. Took them out for a run. Around the 4 mile mark, I noticed the ball of my right foot was hurting. Like a pinched nerve. Maybe just have to break in some. But after 2 weeks now, I still get that same pain in the foot. It’s to a point where I will grab my falling apart echelon 7’s before these. I can put these Triumph 17’s on and do my daily job and chores and it seems OK. Probably because I’m not going a distance during those activities. It is a good shoe, maybe just not right for my foot. For the price, I just expected more.

To soft - by , Jul 10, 2020

Really comfortable fits my foot a little wide but it really wasn’t a problem .Running was smooth but it feels like the shoe is designed to make you roll off your big toe and kind of bothered me at first but I got accustomed to it and don’t notice it anymore. The only problem I can’t get over is how soft it is because I find my knees hurting a bit so I rotate the shoe like I do with most .I run 7days a week so I’ll pop these guys on 2or 3 times a week put 300 miles in them and let them go.It is nice to see all these shoe manufacturers trying so hard .

Great shoe but they wear out too fast! - by , Jul 11, 2020
3/ 5 Stars
I've been wearing these shoes for about nine years. They have great cushioning, fit great, midsole drop is perfect but the new tread is too thin. I run / walk about 35 miles a week. In the past the tread would last longer than the shoe. Now, I might get a little over two months before I've worn the shoe into the PWRRUN+ cushioning. In the past, these shoes were marketed as a high-millage cushioning shoe. Now, they are a low-millage cushioning shoe. They are a great shoe but they just don't last.
