Technology

8MM

Saucony 8mm Technology

Cushioning is distributed more evenly between the heel and forefoot in shoes with an 8mm offset. The result? Your body stays in a more balanced and comfortable position with every foot strike.

EVERUN

Saucony EVERUN Technology

A breakthrough in cushioning. Livelier and more responsive, with smoother landings and stronger takeoff.

ISOFIT

Saucony ISOFIT Technology

Revolutionary fit system that morphs to the foot for a custom feel.

TRI-FLEX

Saucony TriFlex Technology

Increases force dispersion over a greater surface area while also delivering optimal flexibility and traction.

Cushioning

The underfoot feel and amount of impact protection provided by the compressing materials between the foot and running surface.

Support

The level of pronation control built into the shoe. Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle through the gait cycle.

Offset

The difference in height between the heel thickness and forefoot thickness of the shoe.

Awesome shoe This version of the Triumph almost makes me feel like I'm on an elliptical. Other versions had plush cushioning but the cushioning in this shoe seems to mold around my foot. My favorite version so far.

Disappointed The ride of this shoe is harsh and firm. Seems to me the cushioning is bottoming out causing this. It’s painful to run in these. I’ve always liked the Triumph and have used it a lot, especially the first ISO Triumph. I’ll give this shoe two stars for the quality build and the good looks, but just can’t run in it. Hopefully the next version goes back to being something like the first ISO.

Possible Defect I have previously owned the Triumph ISO 3 before going to the Freedom ISO and I loved both of them. After reading the updates, I thought that this would be a great next buy as it could be the best of both worlds. First off, they fit larger than any of the other shoes I have had from Saucony. My biggest issue happens to be that I have over 100 miles on these shoes so far and they have still not broken in like the previous models. The cushioning is still super harsh even though it should have broken in by now. It has caused such discomfort that I am having to buy another shoe much earlier than I would like.

Highly Flexible Shoe I purchased the Triumph Iso 4 after trying several cushioned shoes at my local running specialty store. My initial reaction was that the cushioning was firm, but responsive and that upper of the shoe hugged my foot nicely. However, after running in the shoe several times, I am experiencing IT band pain in my knee. The shoe is very flexible, bending easily in all directions (much more flexible than the Triumph Iso 3). As a result, the shoe is somewhat unstable, especially on uneven terrain. As a neutral forefoot striking runner, I have not had any IT band issues prior to running in this shoe. Unfortunately, now I'll have to take time off of running to heal and having to find a different shoe. Kind of a bummer, considering the price of the shoe.

Super Comfortable Best ISO upper in a triumph so far mixed with the full length Everun sole makes the shoe extra comfortable and super responsive. With a doubt my favorite upgrade of any shoe this season thus far.
