New Saucony Triumph 10 W is much larger than previous 10 W - by , Jun 05, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
I have been buying Triumph 10 W for many years. The shoe seemed actually to be getting smaller. I wore thin "no show" socks to compensate. The new Triumph 10 W is noticeably larger. I have to wear a regular sweat sock to get a comfortable fit. I have ordered a second pair of Triumph with a 10 M size to see if this is now comparable to the previous Triumph 10 W. I am hopeful it won't be too small because I have been buying the 10 W for 15 years.

Great fit and comfort. - by , Apr 15, 2019

Wore out a pair of Ride 10 in size 10W, they were great but no longer available. Tried replacement in the same size in Iso Ride, but they were too narrow. I then tried the Echelon 7 in 10w, but they were a bit clunky and stiff because they did not have the Iso fit system. In the Triump I did have to order up a half size to get a proper fit and ready like the wide toe box. The new last has a great shape with no hot spots. The combination with the iso fit quality upper was great from the first run. The ride and impact energy management are definately a plus and easy on the joints. Well worth the extra money!! Definately will buy another pair!!!

Happy with the shoe, but missing the EVA foam. - by , Feb 21, 2019

I feel I need to update another review. I bought these to replace the Triumph ISO 3, which was the greatest shoe ever made. I honestly never knew shoes could be so comfortable before I discovered Saucony, and I stated before in another review, they changed my life. The ISO 5 is a very good shoe, but I don't like the total substitution of Everun for the previous EVA foam. The shoe is still very cushioned, but not as plush as I was hoping. The ISO 5 does not provide the exceptional comfort and flexibility of the earlier iteration. The ISO 5 is more responsive than earlier designs, and the ISOFit provides custom tailoring. Saucony's FormFit insert molds to the wearer's foot like a glove. I do wish there were more to the outer "skin," as I can actually see my feet through the mesh on the top of the shoe, and they get cold, but that is a minor complaint...they breathe beautifully. I am happy with the ISO 5, but because of the complete move away from EVA, and use of Everun, there is nothing to distinguish it from the Ride or the Freedom. The Triumph used to compete with (and trounce!) the competitors' most highly cushioned offerings, this is just another great shoe made by Saucony with a lot of Everun. I get it, TPU foam is a great innovation, but there's something to be said for too much of a good thing. I would much prefer a balance of Everun and EVA foam for a shoe with a much softer ride than Everun can achieve on it's own. These are good shoes, but I'll still be buying the ISO 3s when I can find them online. Shouldn't have messed too much with a good thing.
