Lightweight but warm - by , Feb 22, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I love this jacket! I wore it over a LS shirt for a 35-degree run with wind chill and it was warm without being heavy. It protected me from the wind too. I love the fabric on the back--it provides circulation without letting body warmth escape. And it looks fantastic! Very stylish and well-made. It's true to size and wasn't restrictive at all; this jacket moves with you. Wish it came in red! :-)

Great cold temperature running jacket - by , Dec 27, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
Upon reading previous reviews stating the sleeves are a bit short, I purchased this jacket one size up. I am glad I did. I don't like feeling restrained in a running jacket. It is very light weight, yet repels wind and rain. It is fitted and not baggy. The perfect running jacket for colder weather and wind and rain. I highly recommend.

Perfect! - by , Dec 24, 2019

I was looking for a new staple winter running jacket and this is it. It fits very comfortably even while layering my thicker wool baselayer. I am a small/medium in “non running clothes” and got the medium. It fits true to size but still has room. So many other running clothes run a size smaller but not this jacket. The jacket kept me warm as well and I think the fleece lining helps. I like that it isn’t so constraining and I can run with so much freedom and movement. I have one other jacket that is black so I got the fun purple color. So many jackets out there are black and it was hard for me to find a feminine color. Thanks so much for making this jacket!

I bought this and immediately wore it for a run in light rain, about 40 degrees. The jacket did great, I stayed dry and warm with a long sleeve underneath. I’m 5’6 and about 130lbs and got the small. I would probably even go with just a short sleeve underneath next time. Flattering fit too!

Wind proof - by , Dec 08, 2019

I have only worn this jacket once on a very windy day running and it worked great. I actually was a little warmer than usual on a 30 degree day. Have not worn it on a snowy or rainy day yet. I live in Michigan so there will be plenty of times to test this jacket. I love the side pockets to hold gloves when I get hot or keys. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

I agree with the previous reviewers: if you're looking for a wind-resistant, water-resistant jacket for high-intensity outdoor activities -- running, cross-country skiing, cycling -- the Vitarun is a great choice. If you're looking for an all-purpose jacket for doing errands, walking the dog, going to the gym, and working out, the Vitarun won't do, as it's too snug to accommodate heavy-duty layering. For temperatures in the 40s or 50s, the jacket is warm enough to run with just a tank or a fitted t-shirt as a base layer; for frigid temperatures, you may need to wear an additional layer on the outside (e.g. a fleece vest or light-weight jacket). Fit-wise, I took a size small (I'm 5'8" and 130 lbs.), and was able to layer two fitted, long-sleeve shirts underneath the jacket without feeling too constrained. If I were bustier or more muscular, however, I would have definitely sized up to a medium for a roomier fit.

Looks sharp, feels cozy - by , Nov 29, 2017

I am in love with this jacket. I got it in black. It is the perfect thickness. Love the pattern on the inner fleece lining. The right pocket has an elastic band for keys and a credit card pocket. My iPhone won’t fit in the chest pocket but that’s what the left pocket is for :) The only thing is that the jacket is narrow in the shoulders. Also, as other reviewers have said, the thumb holes are a little high up. Still I’m going to stick with this size because it looks really sharp and is super cozy. Love this jacket.

Awesome winter layer - by , Apr 12, 2017
5/ 5 Stars
I love this jacket! It's warm and roomy enough to easily accommodate a thicker base layer underneath, but form fitting enough to add a sweatshirt on top. It stops wind in its tracks and is soft and cozy, but very moisture resistant. The pockets are awesome too, though I wish the small chest pocket was slightly larger (my iPhone 6s doesn't fit in it). I also agree with the previous reviewer who said the sleeves are a bit short -- I had the same issue, and can't comfortably use the thumbholes. I wore a thick base layer, this jacket and the Ridge Runner hoodie on top during a -10 degree race this winter and felt great! Overall, a great investment for winter running!

Very good but... - by , Dec 03, 2016

I am a size 4 (5.7, 125) and ordered a Small. I was going to return it as the sleeves with the thumb holes hooked are too short and pull my shoulders. However, I awoke to rain and 49 degrees this morning. This is the only day I have time for a long run and I decided to wear it. In truly drenching rain and wind it did great. I had some drips up where I could not thread my thumbs and down from my pony tail but my core stayed warm for my 4 hours out. If I had sized to a medium there would have been too much room to stay warm. The jacket moves well and is not noisy. If the sleeves were an inch longer it would have been five stars.
