Former world record holder in the 10k stroller run. A couple of medals from national championships. Euro U23 cross country bronze medalist 2014 in the team competition.
Why do you run?
Because it caters to my psyche, I like the feeling of wind in my face. I guess you could sum it up as enjoying the freedom. I also like the sensation of spandex close to my body, probably the main reason.
Greatest Achievement
I'm probably the most proud of my marathon. It was my first attempt at the distance and actually turning in a performance that had some resemblance of quality was much needed after a few seasons of general lousiness.
Run more than you currently do. Running isn't rocket science. To become a better runner, run! (Also, don't wear shorts over your tights, it makes you look like a douche)

am almost 30 years old, I know that I am at the end of my career for the 1500m, I have again 2 seasons max. So I wanted to pass on the road very slowly. I opened my biomechanical analysis practice. I'm a sports podiatrist, and in the office we have 2 ostepaths and a physical trainer. Being finally stable professionally, makes me very happy. After 3 difficult years in Belgium for my training as a podiatrist, I'm finally happy and enjoy the life, and the performances are back! I think I can show some very nice things in the years to come.
Why do you run?
I run because my father was a marathon runner (2:18 in the marathon, 1:04 in the half marathon). I was going to see him run, and often he was one of the best. It has cultivated my competitive side. I wanted to look like him, and I enjoy running. I like the sensations that the race gives me. Feeling both free and strong at the same time. Today, I can't live without it.
Greatest Achievement
Even if I have two French National Championship titles over 1500m, to me persoanlly my greatest achievement is my 17th place (12th French) in the French cross-country championship to Saint-Galmier, that gave me the greatest satisfaction.
I've always followed my own "rules" regarding training. The 3P Rules: Be careful / Patience / Perseverance. Be careful because there is nothing worse for an athlete than the injury, so be patient. Patience because sometimes performance, fitness, success, take time to come. Patience is a great quality in our sport. Perseverance because it's a hard sport, both mentally and physically. We get a lot of failure. Those who persevere eventually succeed

Why do you run?
Running is what keeps me up at night. The hardest thing about running is navigating the highs and lows of the sport, I would say. What I do when it gets really hard is I take a step back from the pressure, or these things that I think about running is about, and I go back to why did I really start doing it. And it's just because I love to push myself, and i feel really great when I'm running hard.I majored in Philosophy and to go toward suffering, and to like, engage in suffering and be in that is actually a really beautiful thing, and it allows you to find your character and find out what you're made of.

Perfection is not a static state. Perfection can only be hoped to be achieved by the constant desire and willingness to strive, self reflect, and strive again. We all know what it feels like to fail...to fall short again and again...but it is in these failures that we learn so much. It is failure that truly teaches us how to succeed.

Teacher at ENSTA Bretagne which is an engineering school, and physical trainer. I started running in my last year of high school then during my 5 years of STAPS I did a sports-study course. During my 4th year I went for one semester in Oklahoma, USA to run in the American championship and improve my training and records. During that season and the next two seasons I set my best times on the track and won my finest medals. In the future, I would like to run longer distances by going under 31' for 10km and then test myself on semi and marathons.
Why do you run?
It's a need, we realize it even more now in containment! Running clears the head and is good for the body, it's a balance for me. I also love to set goals and put everything in place to make them happen.
Greatest Achievement
1. French National 800m Champion in 2016
2. To have descended below 1'50" at 800m
3. All American NAIA in 2014 by finishing 3rd in the 800m Nationals
You have to believe in yourself and not put too much pressure on yourself to think about the goal. Having a time in your head means putting barriers in your way but also running the risk of being disappointed. By working seriously in training you are inevitably rewarded at some point, so it is better not to be too impatient and simply give your best. I set all my track records on the day that I stopped calculating and listening to myself, so go for it! We must never forget that running must remain a pleasure and that we have this chance to practice it !

Why do you run?
There are many reasons why I run. Firstly, to be the best athlete I can be and compete at the highest level possible, representing Great Britain at as many major championships as I can over my career. I also run for enjoyment, the sense of freedom and adventure. I also hope over the course of my career I can inspire others along the way.

Consistency – create a weekly routine to help get the most out of your training. Variety – mix your training up with varying runs (off road and on road), sessions (such as fartlek and interval), strength / core work etc and don’t forget recovery days. Don’t be a slave to the watch! – use your watch for guidance but don’t get hung up on it, run to feel, make sure you keep your easy days easy. Enjoyment - keep things fun, run at different places and with people. Set goals – set goals both in the short term and long term. Set goals in training and have a race plan set out.

I was born in Devon and started running at school. As a youngster I won the English schools and some national titles before then struggling for a few years with injury. I enjoyed working as a physiotherapist before taking a career break when my husband and I went backpacking around the world. We trained hard during our travels and on my return I made my first senior championships, which was the World Championships in Athens in 1997. As a senior I have achieved some medals, including World, European and Commonwealth.
Why do you run?
I love the feeling of freedom when running, especially out on the trails surrounded by beautiful scenery. When I get back from a run I feel more motivated and positive, it definitely provides such a boost to both my physical and mental health. I also enjoy setting myself a goal and relish the challenge of trying to achieve it. Like most runners, I love being part of the running community, runners are a friendly lot and I’ve met so many great people through running. As a busy parent I also like the way running can add quality time to family life by getting out and exercising together.

I think winning the European Championships 10000m at 40-years-old is probably my best achievement as it was so unexpected. I’d thought the days of having the possibility of a gold medal were long behind me, so it was a big surprise.
Turn hardships on their head. Try to block out negative thoughts and focus on the positive. If things get difficult, think how you’re going to overcome the challenges and find a way. Most of all, always find a way to keep enjoying your running.

I was born and raised in Kibera, the biggest slum area in Africa, found in Nairobi (Kenya). As a part of youth program run by an NGO project I played different sports, mostly football. In 2010 I started running because of an NGO project in Sweden “Running relation” which has the purpose of making opportunities for youth living in the slum. I moved with few other young athletes to a camp for runners and this was my start on running as a career and a lifestyle. Through this project I met my coach and now husband. He was living in Denmark, so I moved to Denmark in 2013. I’m a member of an athletic club called Sparta which together with Saucony support me in my training and future goals. My biggest dream is to represent Denmark and Saucony to a big championship.

I’m very happy with my Half Marathon time in Copenhagen and my marathon in Frankfurt. Also holding the course record at Lidingöloppet 30km.
Set goals, both short and long term. With no goal its hard to get out on a rainy day. Train with others. Try to do different exercises. New routes, different distances, add fartlek, intervals, temporuns to make it more fun, variation is key to development.
