The Six Who Sat
Inspired by the 6 women who sat in protest at the start of the 1972 New York marathon, Saucony & @aliceroserunner set out to celebrate them and their landmark moment.
The six women sat for 10 minutes at the marathon start line to protest the 10-minute delay in start time imposed on all female runners.
By challenging the unfair gender staggered start times, their protest sparked a lasting shift - helping push the sport forward and opening the door to greater equality in women's running.

Strength through running
Alice, creator of @mileoffrunning, set out to New York to find one of the iconic women from the original protest - Lynn Blackstone.
Inviting Alice into her home, the pair connected through their shared passion for running and the memories that had shaped Lynn over the years.
