WHERE IS THE DONATION GOING?

The boxes are routed directly to the nearest participating local Goodwill® organization. Goodwill is an international nonprofit that meets the needs of all job seekers, including programs for youth, seniors, veterans and military families, and people with disabilities and disadvantages. Last year, more than 35 million people used computers and mobile devices to access Goodwill training virtually. In addition, nearly two million people received Goodwill services in-person to build their career and financial assets.

CAN I SHIP MORE THAN ONE PACKAGE WITH ONE LABEL?

No, you need a separate label for each box.

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT ON HOW MUCH I CAN PUT IN THE BOX?

There is a limit when you use USPS. For USPS, the maximum weight is 70 pounds. The combined 
length and girth of a piece (the length of its longest side plus the distance around its thickest part) 
may not exceed 108 inches. For UPS, there is no limit to how much you can put into a box or how 
many boxes you can send. So, stuff the box to the brim! We cannot accept electronics, any liquids, 
fragile, hazardous or volatile items, or ammunition in the boxes. 

HOW DO I SCHEDULE OR CANCEL A USPS PICKUP?

No time for the Post Office? Schedule a free Package Pickup and they will come get your shipment 
during regular delivery.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO DONATE?

The Give Back Box platform is completely free to use. We want to make donating your unwanted 
items as convenient and hassle free as possible. 

WHAT CAN I SEND?

Any household items such as clothes, shoes and jewelry are appropriate.. We cannot accept 
electronics, any liquids, fragile, hazardous or volatile items, or ammunition in the boxes. How 
do I ship the box? Ship this donation like you would ship any other box through UPS or USPS. 
Drop it off at the nearest UPS or USPS location or leave it in the post room of your building for 
them to pick up when they next visit.

You can ship this donation like you would ship boxes through UPS or USPS. Drop it off at the 
nearest UPS or USPS location or leave it in the post room of your building for them to pick 
up when they next visit. 

CAN I GET A TAX DEDUCTION RECEIPT?

Yes, absolutely. All you need to do is to create an account with Give Back Box, or log into your 
account if you already have one. Using your tracking number, you can itemize your donation 
online. You may also choose to itemize the items you are sending in the box. Once your donation 
has been accepted and processed, you will be notified with a receipt of the donation via email. 
Please note that the receipt will not be available until your donation has been mailed. 

CAN I USE ANY CORRUGATED BOX, OR JUST GIVE BACK BOX’S ONLINE PARTNER BOXES?

You can use any corrugated box you have. Our motto is "No Box Left Behind" and that means by 
giving a box a second life, you are giving someone the job training they need for a second chance. 
Additionally, you are helping the planet by recycling the corrugated box. 

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ITEMS I DONATE?

Donated items are sorted and sold by Goodwill®. The revenues are used to help fund 
community-based programs, including job training, employment placement services and support 
services such as financial education and transportation. 

WHICH STATES CAN I SHIP FROM?

You can ship from any states within the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. We have plans to include 
Canada in the near future.

IS GIVE BACK BOX® A CHARITY?

Give Back Box® is not a charity. Give Back Box is a vendor that provides charitable organizations 
with an IT infrastructure. 

HOW DO I RESCHEDULE A PICK UP WITH THE POST OFFICE?

If for any reason the post office is unable to pick up your donation, you can always reschedule for 
free, during regular mail delivery, by going to USPS.com.
