This is a good shoe for OCR I do mostly OCR/mud runs. I occasionally do trail races. I started with these a year ago, just because it's the only thing my local running store carried in the trail run category. Turns out they're great and I have loved them! The tread helps on dry areas. It's not too aggressive (think of other more cleated shoes). This makes it good for climbing up obstacles, cargo nets, etc. However, on trails that have a lot of slick clay-based mud, or wet rocks, it's just a little less than what's needed. I had a hot spot on the sole of my foot but that was probably more because I was changing my running form to mid-foot strike. Along that line, this shoe was a good transition from the cushioned heel-strike enablers I had before, without being too "bare" feeling. Most of all, I like the drainage. I ran my first trail run 5k (1st place in my age division) with my Nomads. We had to traverse a river twice. The Nomads dumped the water within 20 yards. The shoes are also easy to clean and dry out well after cleaning. I've had my coated in clay mud and have been able to clean them thoroughly. No doubt this has helped their durability and longevity. As I'm becoming more involved in the sport, I'll probably switch to Peregrines just for the traction. But because I'm so impressed with Saucony's product, I'm sticking with the brand.

Love These for Almost Everything Saucony replaced my Peregrines with the Nomad TR through very good customer service. I love the Nomad. The only problem you may find is if you run loose/sandy single track at steep angles the traction is not as aggressive as a heavier trail shoe and you will slip. For trails without lose surfaces these are light, responsive, and feel great. My favorite trail shoe since the Peregrine 2 years ago.

Long distance Trail FInishes Imogen trail race in them, and I had very poor traction. They are very comfortable to me but the feel of them especially when descending technical trail can be very sketchy.

This product performs as expected. This shoe first and foremost, is the lightest shoe, in terms of weight, that I've brought from Saucony, thus far. I'm a flat footed person, and these shoes allow for an easy removal of the included inner soles, so that I may be able to insert the orthodontics quickly and smoothly. As I'm working out more especially running, I feel that my feet are squarely planted on whatever surface that I'm running on. I may be biased, but I only purchase Saucony shoes.
