New Zealander Rod Dixon is one of the most prolific runners of all time. Praised for his amazing range, he was the first runner in history to clock both a sub-3:53 mile and a sub-2:09 marathon. Dixon won the 1983 New York Marathon in epic fashion as a member of the Saucony Racing team, and capped it off by signing a deal to design a running shoe in his name – the Dixon Trainer.
Over three decades later, his legend lives on. His home country, one dominated by wilderness and sheep, served as inspiration for the Saucony Design team when choosing prints and materials for the lodge-themed update of this classic silhouette.

The Lodge Pack is all about leaving the planning to the planners and letting the day run its course. It’s having one idea, and then tabling it when you realize something bigger is out there. It’s waking up and finally doing that thing you should have done yesterday. It’s looking out into the wild and deciding to go forward, realizing that the next place might just be the best place. Wherever your wild – be it in the woods, the oceans, the urban jungle or the suburban sprawl – find it. Explore it. Wander the wild.
