Loved previous versions, but this was a disappointment - by , Sep 19, 2019
3/ 5 Stars
I have loved several pairs of older model Peregrines, but the Peregrine ISO was a disappointment. The soles have the same great traction I have come to expect, but the fit didn't work for me at all. There was no arch support, and I felt like I was placing my foot in a rectangular box. The heel was too wide, which caused my foot to slip inside the shoe on uneven terrain, even when I fiddled with different lacing patterns. While the heel was wide, the forefoot was narrower than in previous versions, which caused pain after a few miles.

Lacking support - by , Sep 12, 2019
3/ 5 Stars
I had bought these at my local shoe store and I do love them. They work excellent on the trail. I did however start experiencing some knee and low back pain and my feet just felt like they weren’t supported. I had gone to REI and they did an analysis and determined I had a high arch. I ended up buying a pair of soles to support my arch when I run. When the man who was replacing my insoles pulled out the saucony insoles I was shocked that there was literally No support! For most of my running days I had bought brooks and loved them for the support they offered. I switched to saucony because of being on new terrain and reading a few reviews. Overall the shoe does well on the trail, but if you have an high arch these may not be for you unless you want to spend another 60+$ to replace the saucony insoles. I just wish this shoe offered more support!

Tongue too short - by , Jul 29, 2019
1/ 5 Stars
I had to return. I have a petite frame and was unable to lace a heel lock without the laces seating well off the tongue and onto my sock. The shape and ride of the shoe itself would have worked, but there was no way to get a snug lacing for a narrow heel and small ankle. They need a 1" longer tongue and a better lacing panel. Not a good design for smaller women.

Great fit. Sturdy shoe on rough trails. - by , Jul 17, 2019

Great fit for my narrow foot. I feel much sturdier in these shoes hiking hiking the trails. Better grip and much less sliding. Grateful to have a good shoe that is comfortable and helps me feel more grounded and secure.

Doesn’t look like the color in the photo - by , Jul 02, 2019

I may return these because the color is a light grey not black like in the photos. They fit fine but I haven’t used them yet bc I’m unsure if I should return them.

Love the 4 mm heel-toe drop... - by , May 24, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
I bought these secondary to a bad flare of capsulitis/Morton's neuroma at the base of my second toe that was killing me just to walk much less run. Within 3 days of wearing these shoes consistently, all pain and numbness resolved. I like the coloring. I even ordered a second pair. Both pairs are true to the color shown (dark grey with light blue tread). They have a wide toe box, even in the medium, so no rubbing. I also like the cushioning, the support level, the heavy duty yet malleable tread, and especially the lace up eyelets that let me find a comfortable tightness and fit on each part of my forefoot. Couldn't be happier with these!

Sides ripped - by , May 21, 2019

I use these on a trail and in fields. The sides ripped at the pinky toe area on both shoes after 3 weeks. Very unhappy with how well they held up considering they are trail shoes. I have another brand that didn't have that problem until I had 250miles on them. Positive - the most cushioney trail shoe I have used. Quite happy with the feel just not the durability.

Good with minor flaws - by , May 17, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
I bought this shoe in a store after spending 2 hours trying on various trail runners and sneakers. It was definitely the most comfortable one I could find in a dark color. As another commenter states, the heel where it hits your Achilles tendon is quite padded and feels loose. It was the biggest setback when I was choosing it, but after consideration I think while the heel *feels* loose, it isn't actually loose. I was worried it was going to eat my socks, but they stay put. I walked around quite a bit in the shoe so far and it's been fine, I think it will actually be very comfortable in the long run. Just takes a little getting used to but good design. And yeah the color in this photo is off, I wasn't totally sure it was the same shoe at first. It's still a dark gray, but I'd say it's more like steel gray. The sole of the shoe is periwinkle. I think it looks really nice regardless. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9, and definitely needed the slightly smaller 8.5 here, the 9 was too big. Overall I'm very happy with this shoe - like I said I tried on a bunch of different shoes and this was the best one in the store. Will be great for daily wear and hiking, I plan to wear this shoe pretty much every day. The soles are supportive.

Great Shoe - by , May 09, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
This is my first pair of trail shoes, and I bought them after reading prior recommendations. I am very happy with them! I wear a size 6-1/2 dress shoe, and bought a size 8 in the Saucony. Fits great. Wore them for my first trail run of the season and was very pleased with how they performed. Great stability and they got me up and over some very hilly, tough terrain! These are probably the most comfortable running shoe I have ever worn!

Disappointed - by , Mar 25, 2019

I'm very disappointed in this new model and had to return it. The heel collar is way too padded, both inside and out and the heel width is much too wide. I've worn the peregrine for years now and the heel over-padding started with last years' model. The 4mm drop and the stability of this shoe have always worked for me but now I must move on. Also like an earlier comment, the color in the photo is not representative of the actual shoe.
