MORE: Find your local shop
Small businesses are the fabric of our communities and the decision to shop local can mean the difference between success or struggle. Each month, our team will spotlight our favorite retailers, showcase their communities and celebrate shopping local.
This month, we’re spotlighting one of our favorite retailers, Milestone Running, out of San Diego, CA. How did you get started running?
I started running when I was a wee lad at Evergreen Elementary when a fellow classmates father put together an organized track team through the school. The school burnt a single lane in the grass and from there we were introduced to track and field.
What one piece of advice would you give to a new runner?
Take it slow and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. This is cliche but run your own race.
What do you love about your town’s running community?

Share a personal running goal or memory.

What’s your favorite Saucony product, and why?
I just got a pair of the Endorphin Pros and I love everything about them. I can’t run slow in those babies if I tried! Lightweight, cushioned, yet responsive, and they sure are pretty. Still can’t catch Dylan but I am getting closer …
