Awesome shoe, lightweight and well cushoined - by , Feb 18, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
Honestly, I can't believe none of the stores in my area aren't carrying this beast. I've ran on trails, in snow and on pavement and these just keep on keeping me on track. The BOA system has been great so far and is a great addition to a shoe you don't want coming unlaced going down technical trail. I would say the light weight won't keep you warm (which will be awesome come spring/summer) so wear heavy socks if you're wearing them in the cold!

Great shoe - by , Feb 10, 2019

Saucony has gotten everything right with this shoe. Just came off a three day hike through heavy mud and sharp rocks and I couldn’t be more impressed. Comfort, support, protection and great traction. Tightening the laces is so simple that it can almost be do on the fly.

For Dirt Trails, Grass ONLY, nothing technical - by , Feb 09, 2019
2/ 5 Stars
I wanted to really like these, but they lack any kind of protection in the forefoot for serious trail running. No rockplate and not much midsole protection...you can feel every rock under these things. Simple rolling of a tennis ball under fore/midfoot and you can feel every aspect of the curves. All I can tell is they took the Freedom ISO (love) and put on a more durable outsole without any real attention to trail running needs. They also reduced the cushion towards the front, right under the toes to almost nothing versus the ISO (all the way to tip) so I tend to get blisters. Perhaps good for dirt road running, grass, or mild trails, but in the northeast with roots, rocks, etc...anything serious these wont cut it. The BOA is neat, but the upper is kind of plasticy and tends to crease and irritate unlike more conventional fabric. I really wanted to like this!

Nearly Perfect Shoe - by , Feb 09, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
I've been dreaming of a shoe that combines the Everun/ISO/durability of the Freedoms with the trail capabilities of the Peregrine line. When I saw this shoe in the shop catalog months ago, it was exactly the shoe I would have designed. Having a few runs in them now, execution is near perfect from the get-go. Two things I'd adjust: 1. Slightly more padding where the top Boa lace rests on the tongue. Potential overtightening here caused ankle spurs to flare up. 2. The toe box felt a little too roomy compared to the Freedom. Initially thought I'd gone 1/2 size too big, but length is fine. I want to add that, much like the Freedoms, I've found the full Everun on these provides outstanding confidence in cold, icy conditions. This compound doesn't seem to lose it's softness when the temperature drops. The grip of the two compounds on these outsoles provides excellent grip as well. An Ice+ version could be a hit next winter!

Best Saucony shoe ever - by , Feb 08, 2019

Wow, you guys hit every spot perfectly on this shoe. The everun is now stitched into the midsole (the old way of glueing caused a hotspot for me, which caused me to run Altra Shoes for a year), the Boa system is amazing, just like I experienced from my cycling shoes (I don't know why this system isn't used everywhere) and the upper is supportive and yet invisible to sensation. The heel cup is stable due to the contouring, all the material edges are perfectly shaped and simple, which eliminates any rubbing when really digging in on the pace, the toe box is flexible and the upper folds well to eliminate pressure on the top of the foot. Wow, I'm really trying hard to keep from ordering two more pair just so I know I'll not run out. Please, please, please, put a road outsole on these so I can run them everywhere. If you make slippers I'll buy those too. Best shoe ever.
