Nice shoe - by , Jul 28, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I had other running shoes in past but this does make a difference. My usage is mixed with long walks 🚶‍♂️up to 15 miles and at least 5K runs thrice a week. This shoes triumphs both true to its name, especially the heel. Feet might get warm but still very comfortable as breathability is excellent. I tried even with inserts still fit was nice and cosy. Way to go Saucony👏

Almost perfect. - by , Jul 23, 2020

I bought the Triumph 17 in the blackout colorway, as it was perfect for my needs. Not the most stylish shoe, but it is subtle in the blackout colorway in a monochromatic appearance. I love the comfort of this shoe. The heel collar is exquisite. Plush and supportive. The quality of the upper is unparalleled. There is a double-layer feel to it which makes it a perfect fall weather shoe. The toe box is, however, pointed, in a way which tapers a bit prematurely. I am not sure why shoe companies design shoes in a pointed manner, as very few feet are shaped like that. With that said, the toe box is sufficient, with some wiggle room. I bought 1/2 size up, not because I needed to, but because I preferred the feel of allowing room for my feet to swell on the long run, which I will use this shoe for. The use case of long, easy runs is where the Triumph 17 shines. Bouncy, soft, the perfect midsole with PWRRUN+. The offset (drop) is ~8mm, which is a bit high. This may be a positive for some. The cushion in the heel is substantial, which is good for heel strikers, which I am not. But I am more of a heel striker later in my runs. The traction is very nice. Sufficient, nothing aggressive, nothing slippery. With the midsole and outsole materials, along with the quality of the upper, the durability of this shoe will surely be outstanding. But not everything is perfect here. Unfortunately, the blackout colorway is now sold out forever on Saucony's website and my left shoe squeaks out of the box (I have not ran in the shoes yet, only tried them on in my house). This is bound to be an annoyance at best and a major problem waiting to happen at worst. This is a manufacturing flaw, but I now have no way of resolving it because this specific shoe is no longer available in my colorway. So if I try to exchange it, I will not be able to get the product that I want. This is very unfortunate. I doubt this will be the case with all shoes from Saucony, but it is the only Saucony I have purchased and it squeaks. I wish this were not the case. Saucony Triumph 17 (Blackout Colorway) ___________ Score: 89/100 ___________ Fit-8/10 Upper: 10/10 Midsole: 10/10 Outsole: 8/10 Cushion: 10/10 Quality: 9/10 Durability: 9/10 Style: 7/10 Value: 8/10 Comfort: 10/10

Love the New Triumph - by , Jul 22, 2020

I bought the Saucony Triumph 13 because I needed a bit more cushion. My previous running shoes were Saucony Rides. The Triumph shoe did not disappoint. I love the cushion and comfort of the shoe. I had one issue and that is there is not much side support. When I stepped on an uneven surface where a tree root was pushing up the asphault, it felt like my foot was going to roll right out of the shoe. Fortunately, no injury, but I was surprised by how easy my foot rolled in the shoe. Other than that, I am very pleased with the Triumph 13.

Comfortable running shoe - by , Jul 21, 2020

I try to run at least five days a week 8 miles when I do run. These shoes have been great so far I’m about 72 miles in. I would recommend them.

Best cushioned running shoe. - by , Jul 21, 2020

I have, for years, been looking for a cushioned, comfortable running shoe. This has become a bigger problem since I got older. The Saucony Triumph 17 solved the problem. It has been so great, I bought another pair to keep in reserve. GREAT SHOE!!

Great Walking Shoe - by , Jul 17, 2020

I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I was having foot and knee discomfort in my previous shoe and wanted to make a change in shoes before going to my doctor. I am glad I did. The reviews on this shoe were true. I would make this purchase again only sooner.

Great Road Shoe - by , Jul 16, 2020

This is my 2nd pair of Triumph 17s, and had switched from Ride 10. I like the Ride 10 better, but the style/fit changed, and I didn't like what was available at the beginning of 2020. These Triumphs have fit the bill well. They don't look the greatest, but they're comfortable, and my feet and joints thank me for it! My first set of Triumph 17s lasted 400 miles, before I started to notice body aches. Listen to the aches... I got new Triumphs, and I'm back at it!

Triumph Blackout...ummm a little over the top? - by , Jul 15, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
SO first off: the shoe itself. As far as a neutral, stable, ride -- you are not going to find better. My second pair of Triumphs. Quality. Quality. Quality.. The Triumph has the cushion without the weight and makes it the perfect training as well as racing shoe. Also the design is spot on. The color choices this year however? MEH. However I fixed it! The best color of the present design is called "blackout" ... the problem is while it is a cool concept of blackout....it is just a little over the top when you take a black shoe and add black shoelaces. While I LOVE the buttery laces from Saucony....the color black on black was a misguided idea. (Alright a very DUMB idea). I wore them twice. Once someone even asked me if they were a workshoe! I went to my local athletic store and snagged some nice dark grey laces. NOW...they are the shoe they should have been, and they look as great as they perform!
